Demise of the Beach Hotel Worthing 2012 - Part 2

Look closely & you can see shower fittings on the wall

You can virtually see through the building from back to front now

Door to nowhere
Caught in the action

So that's how they bring down walls

Blue sky where none was visible originally ...

Only the last corner remains ...

Brick reclamation

Demise of the Beach Hotel Worthing 2012 - Part 1

Once I realised the Beach Hotel in Worthing was no longer open, and it was going to be demolished and a new hotel built to replace it, I knew I had to capture this momentous change.  The Hotel closed around August 2011, there was an auction in Sept 2011 where they sold off the fixtures and fittings, and then at the beginning of 2012 the demolition began.  I found it fascinating to watch the demolition, but am sad the old building has virtually gone.  I wonder how long it'll be before we start to see the new building emerge?

Nature Wander to Wiston May 2012

Wandered to Wiston looking at spring nature.

Would you have had any idea what a broad bean flower looks like?

I really like this one - simple but very effective
