Shoreham Airshow Aug 2011

Went to Shoreham Airshow on both the Sat and the Sun, had two really good days out. I really like taking pics of the planes which were on the ground, as that way I can get them much closer up than when they're flying, and the figures in the planes with guns are very photogenic. Haurel & Lardy (the Laurel & Hardy lookalikes) were good fun, posing for me several times.

Eastbourne Airbourne Aug 2011

Went to Eastbourne to see the Airshow on the seafront, it was my first time there and there was a really good atmosphere, the sun was shining, the beach was full of people, and it was a really good day out.  The Red Arrows opened the show and displayed for about 20 minutes which was really good.  As I don't have a long lens, I make use of the smoke trails to fill the pictures, and the pier makes a good backdrop.  There were several jets flying but they were too small to really capture in a good picture.
