Hove Engineerium Nov 2011
Went to the Engineerium for my first time, while it was in steam, as it was to be their last open day before it is officially completed and opened in the next year or so. Even before going inside, the brickwork was very attractive.
Beachy Head & Birling Gap Nov 2011
Had a spare day and the weather wasy good so got the train to Eastbourne, then the Explorer bus to Beachy Head and Birling Gap, as I'd not been to either site before. The view of the lighthouse at the foot of the cliffs was very special, I felt like I was at the best place on the South Downs, and the sea looked a lovely blue. At Birling Gap I walked down the steps onto the beach, the turquoise sea looked lovely against the brightness of the cliffs. Got the bus back to Eastbourne, then went on the beach and the pier. Very pleased with my day out, especially as I'd decided it at the last minute.

Chanctonbury Ring Oct 2011
Walked through Wiston Woods and up a path to Chanctonbury Ring, had good views of the surrounding countryside to the north, then walked back down another path back into Steyning.
