Chanctonbury Ring Oct 2011

Walked through Wiston Woods and up a path to Chanctonbury Ring, had good views of the surrounding countryside to the north, then walked back down another path back into Steyning.

Birdham to Dell Quay Oct 2011

After my walk round East Head at West Wittering, I went on to Birdham marina and walked from there along the water's edge to Dell Quay. In places it reminds me of Daphne Du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek, there is always a view through the trees to the water, usually with yachts, very peaceful ...

East Head, West Wittering Oct 2011

Myself (and hundreds of other people) made the most of the last warm sunny weekend day and went to West Wittering. I walked round East Head enjoying the beach at low tide, then the yachts, and on the way back the tide was in and the small amount of available beach was crammed with people, windbreaks and parasols, and I heard someone say "It looks like Torremolinos", so now I know what Torremolinos looks like! I've never seen so many people on a UK beach before, and considering this was 1st October it was quite remarkable.

I couldn't resist a pic of these yellow shorts!

This man's sister apologised for his behaviour, I just said "that's ok, I can always delete it"
