Standing looking out from the end of Worthing Pier at low tide is like looking into another world, you can't hear any traffic, only the gulls and the waves, it's so serene and peaceful, and looks strangely tropical ... 

St Mary's House - National Open Gardens Scheme - 15 July 2011

Went to St Mary's House in Bramber for their open afternoon as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme, the sun shone and I had a good time wandering through the gardens admiring the flowers, with their many colours.  The hollyhocks outside the timber framed front of the house were superb.  It was as good as any National Trust property.

Wiston Steam Fair - 2 July 2011

Went to Wiston Steam Fair, had a very enjoyable day watching the traction engines and taking photos of the exhibits, got some good effects with the smoke hanging in the air and the Downs in the background.
